
​Daydream Machine is a creative learning studio in Canberra designed to support neurodivergent young people (aged 9–21) through inclusive, interest-led programs in music, art, LEGO robotics, and technology.
Founded in early 2022 by 2022 ACT Local Hero Luke Ferguson, Daydream Machine runs weekday sessions for different age groups, providing a safe and dynamic space for self-expression, skill-building, and social connection.
The Daydream Machine studio features:

A LEGO/robotics zone

A music studio with guitars, drums, iMacs, and Pro Tools/GarageBand

An art and design space with sewing machines, jewellery and badge making, Cricut printers, and painting supplies

A participant-run stall where student arts and craft creations are sold

A computer lab with a 3D printer for coding and digital creativity

Social spaces with pinball machines, retro arcade games, table tennis, and a 'chill' lounge

A karaoke booth, and a live music stage for concerts and showcases run by participants

Daydream Machine was proud to receive a Commendation in Inclusion in Business at the 2022 Chief Minister's Inclusion Awards.
